LANTERN (Let’s Against Sexual Harassment) is a project from SCORA CIMSA FK UNRI which is part of LPET 2 and 3 (Local Peer Educator Training) activities. This project aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of CIMSA FK UNRI members and campus students about sexual harassment. LANTERN was held for two days with the theme “Human Rights Equality.” This project was held on Saturday and Sunday, 15 and 16 April 2023 which was held at Raja Haji Fisabilillah Room, Faculty of Medicine, Riau University and Taman Danau Riau University , Panam. The series of activities that held were in the form of delivering material on the first day to members of CIMSA FK UNRI and a ground campaign on the second day targeting campus students. On the first day, LANTERN was filled with the presentation about Sexual Harassment by PETRA CIMSA FK UNRI, Fitri Denovinsa Zulkarnain. This aims to provide debriefing and increase the knowledge of CIMSA FK UNRI members regarding sexual harassment. After that, it was followed by the delivery of the second material and a demonstration by the external partner of LANTERN, Master Black Belt from International Chang-Hon Taekwon-do Federation, Master Eykman S. Panjaitan. This aims to provide experience to members about several self-defense techniques that can be applied to protect themselves and those around them later. Before the material was given, a pre-test was carried out first to measure the extent of members’ understanding of sexual harassment and continued with filling out the post-test after the demonstration.
On the second day, a ground campaign was held for campus students in Taman Danau Riau University, Panam.. This aims to provide education to campus students about sexual harassment. Prior to conducting education, campus students were given a pre-test to measure their understanding of sexual violence and a post-test was also carried out after the education was given which aimed to measure the impact of the education provided by OC LANTERN. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, an increase in scores was obtained, indicating an increase in the knowledge of campus students after being given education by the OC about sexual harassment. LANTERN (Let’s Against Sexual Harassment) was going very well, even though there are several obstacles. The members of CIMSA FK UNRI and campus students looked very enthusiastic about Sexual Harassment and this give a positive feedback for the event.
