Hello CIMSA! SCOPH CIMSA FK UNRI successfully carried out the BRONKUS (Be the Role Model and Knowing Tuberculosis) activity on March 19th 2023 in commemoration of World Tuberculosis Day. BRONKUS is held at Car Free Day (CFD) Jalan Sudirman, Pekanbaru from 06.30 pm to 09.00 pm WIB.
BRONKUS was carried out by SCOPH CIMSA FK UNRI because based on the results of the distributed assessment it was found that there were still many respondents who did not know the mechanism of treatment and transmission of Tuberculosis (TB). Quoting the data from the Pekanbaru City Health Service (Diskes), in 2020 the minimum service standards (SPM) for tuberculosis or TB suspects were 7,646 or 20.70 percent of the target achievement of 36,938. Whereas in 2021 it has increased, namely 13,360 or 36.83 percent, from the target of 41,705 cases.
Before BRONKUS was held, OC’s had received training from the CIMSA FK UNRI trainer, namely Raihanah Zahroh with the material theme about “How to Control and Prevent Tuberculosis” which was held on March 10th, 2023 at 19.00 pm WIB. This BRONKUS activity helps government programs in efforts to prevent an increase in tuberculosis cases, namely the TOSS TB program known as “Temukan TB Obati Sampai Sembuh” in Indonesian. It is hoped that after the ground campaign is carried out, the people who receive education can apply the knowledge they get to their environment and daily life. Apart from that, it is also hoped that OC’s who are medical students can become role models for efforts to prevent tuberculosis. The proudest thing is that the ground campaign participant achievement target exceeded the minimum target of 50 participants from the initial target of 30 participants, the next activity flow is posting infographics on Instagram @cimsaunri. SCOPH CIMSA FK UNRI also works with the Mentari Meraki Asa foundation for video post activity material. At that time at CFD there was also a talk show related to tuberculosis prevention which was carried out by BEM UNRI, BEM FK UNRI, BEM FKP UNRI, and CIMSA FK UNRI. The ground campaign activity by SCOPH was also attended by representatives from the TUAH TB Pekanbaru community.
