EXCHANGE FAIR 2020
SCOPE-SCORE CIMSA FK UNRI
Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE) and Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE) CIMSA FK UNRI have successfully held an Exchange Fair on April, 11th – 18th 2020. This activity was held online as the consequence of the Covid – 19 pandemic that occurred around the world.
This activity consisted of two parts. The first part was sharing session about exchange via Instagram (@cimsaunri) from April, 11th – 17th 2020. Some informations which have been shared are what is exchange fair, qualifications to join professional and research exchange, how to apply this exchange, what are the countries choices, and country levels.
The second part was seminar that was held on April, 18th 2020 by using Free Conference Call app. The seminar consisted of talk show, brief explanation about registration guidelines from LORE and LEO, and games by KAHOOT! First, there is an explanation about registration guidelines from LORE and LEO. Before the explanation, we held a pretest to find out the participant’s knowledge about the informations that have been shared through Instagram, and goes also for the post test. We explained everything about exchange program such as the countries student could choose, how long the exchange is going to last, how much is the exchange costs, and lots of things you should know before applying for the exchange.
The Second agenda is talk show from our ex – outgoing, Yovie Suryani, one of medical student in University of Riau for the Research Exchange outgoing to Morocco and dr. Deby Andita, an alumni of medical student University of Riau for the Professional Exchange outgoing to Germany. They gave a lot of insight of why we should join exchange, what are the experience that they got through exchange, what are the obstacles that occurred during exchange, what to prepare before joining the exchange program, how much it probably costs for the exchange, why they choose those countries, is there any changes of culture that they have to overcome, and their motivation to those who wanted to join the exchange program. From the talk show, our speakers felt that exchange was a life changing, once in a lifetime opportunity that everyone should not missed. This is very good for our exchange insights to better understand what the basic objectives of participating in this activity.
